1. What do you do for MCI USA?
I’m an account executive on the Sales Solutions & Services team. I sell event sponsorships and advertising for four different associations.
2. What did you do before you joined?
I started here in November of 2019, and while I’ve worked in sales at various points in my career, my most recent venture was starting and then eventually selling a coffee company with my brother. We sourced locally roasted single-origin coffees and used the cold brew process. We kegged the coffee and distributed on-tap systems to corporate offices, schools, and grocery stores in the region.
3. What do you like about MCI?
I would say the best part is the people and culture. From day one, I’ve felt like the company always has my best interests in mind. They’ve trained me and onboarded me really well and have provided me with the best resources to make everything run smoothly. Nowadays, I have exactly what I need to maximize my potential and be successful.
4. What does your life look like outside of work?
I like to golf, play video games, and go out on my father-in-law’s boat and spend time with family. I just got married this month, so most of my time recently has gone toward planning that! We just got back from our honeymoon in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
5. Congratulations! How did you propose to your wife?
We’re a Tinder success story! We met in February of 2019, and we started officially dating six months after that. We got engaged in September 2020. I planned a special day where we drove around to places where we spent special moments, such as the place we met and a place we used to sit and have long conversations, and we ended at a bar called the Sandlot. She loves the beach, but because there aren’t any actual beaches in Baltimore, this was the closest thing, since it is right on the water. I proposed to her there on their little man-made beach area, and my brother was there to photograph it. It was a really special day!
