Matt Henry

Quality Assurance, Campaign Manager and Department Leader, Sales Solutions & Services

1. As the department leader, can you tell us what the Quality Assurance Team does?

When a sale is made for an association or on their website, our team makes sure all the materials that are needed are collected from clients and that those materials are properly gathered in one place. We also make sure if they’re selling advertising, that the banners/ads are set up and running properly. The team prides itself on providing the best service to our customers and clients.

2. What did you do before you came to MCI?

I started here this April, but before that I was the digital program director at iHeartMedia. I managed the social media accounts, email marketing, and digital ad operations for ten radio stations in the DC/Baltimore area. I was there for about eight years, and it was a great experience, because I got to meet a lot of really cool musicians on a regular basis.

3. What’s your favorite part about your job?

It’s a constant challenge, and I enjoy trying to stay ahead of the curve as our digital offerings are always evolving. Being a manager and seeing and helping my team be successful is very rewarding as well.

As for MCI overall, I enjoy how much they invest in their people. A lot of the team members I work with have been here for over ten years, and when I was interviewing and asking them what they enjoyed about MCI, they all said that MCI cares about its people. I have found that to be true.

I also appreciate that company leadership is involved in and cares about the work I’m doing, but at the same time are open to feedback, so I feel like I’m heard.

4. How do you spend your free time?

I’m the dad of twin girls who are two years old, so when I’m not working, that takes up 90 percent of my time. I love them and taking care of them, and I’m very fortunate to work from home and spend more time with them.

5. What’s your favorite thing about fall?

I love fall! I got married in the fall. The best thing is being able to be outside and be comfortable and not sweating. It’s going to be extra fun this year because our girls are starting to become aware of things they’re doing. There are a lot of fun activities we’re doing forward to doing with them this year, like picking apples and pumpkins! For Halloween, we’re thinking they’re going to be some sort of animals, possibly cats because they are obsessed with our family cats!
