  1. Tell us about the work you do.

I’m a cultivator of ideas and inspiration. I’m a student of the creative process and depend on my creativity to translate said ideas into discernible works of art — or as some might say, I make pretty things on the computer.

  1. Where do you get your inspiration?

I’m reminded of a graphic I came across a while ago which read, “Good artists copy. Great artists steal.” I don’t actually copy or steal ideas from other designers, but I do look at current design trends to see which elements I can improve upon and implement into my own designs.

  1. What should people keep in mind when they bring a request to you or another graphic designer?

It’s a lot like placing a food order. Would you tell the server at a restaurant, “throw something together really quickly” or “bring me a few different plates and I’ll decide which one I want to eat”? Probably not, at least I hope you wouldn’t. Instead, you would be very detailed in your order because you want it cooked the right way the first time.

  1. What keeps you motivated to do the work that you do for MCI USA?

I’ve loved art since I was a child. I am fortunate that my passion has turned into a career, and my motivation comes from knowing that there will always be another project that I can put my stamp on. I’m a glutton for design and MCI USA keeps me fed.

  1. Serif or sans serif?

Sans serif for sure.
