The Association of Women Surgeons wrapped up part-two of the AWS 2020 Virtual Conference: Strength in Diversity, on Saturday, October 3 with excitement. The conference was hosted through the virtual platform Attendify and featured engaging speaker sessions, trivia, interactive breakouts, and more. The association’s first-ever virtual conference performed well above expectations with over 530 registrants, 262 of which were students/residents and 219 of which were physicians. After punching the numbers, the team doubled the projected 2020 registration numbers leading to a registration revenue of 135% of the budget, or $35,440, and a fundraising revenue of $124,750. Amazing!

Not only that, but the overall feedback from attendees was terrific. Based on the post-event survey, 94% of participants rated the overall experience “excellent” or “very good” and gave an average rating of 4.56/5. With 99% of attendees saying they will attend a future AWS conference, we can assume there will be another outstanding attendance in 2021. A big kudos to the Association Solutions talents who work with AWS for all their hard work!
