Alison Teitelbaum, MS, MPH, CAE, VP, Association Solutions and Executive Director of the American Health Quality Association, has been invited to participate as a subject matter expert on a TEP (Technical Expert Panel) for the Anticoagulation Forum’s new MIDAS program.
The Mentored Implementation and Dissemination of Anticoagulation Stewardship (MIDAS) Program is a 24-month project through which predetermined hospitals are paired with nationally recognized anticoagulation experts. These experts assist hospitals as they utilize the Core Elements of Anticoagulation Stewardship Programs to develop and refine their practices.
Mentors work directly with care teams to assess their stewardship baseline, identify interventional targets, develop an implementation strategy, and track program progress.
By the end of 2022, information obtained from this process will lead to the development of an Implementation Playbook for Anticoagulation Stewardship, which will provide guidance and resources to hospitals that wish to independently establish a stewardship program.
