It’s easy to see how physical health impacts our work. When our bodies feel good, we perform our jobs well. Yet mental health – a topic long kept behind closed doors — is just as important for our safety and wellbeing.
Over 40% of Americans report experiencing increased mental distress due to the pandemic, and over 85% say work impacts their mental health.
Have you noticed any of the following?
- Feelings of being physically or mentally drained
- Feeling sad, lonely, numb or worried
- Difficulty focusing or making decisions
- Changes in appetite or sleeping patterns
- Arguing more or becoming easily frustrated with family, friends or colleagues
- Increase in alcohol or drug use
There is no shame in asking for help. If you don’t feel like yourself, don’t ignore it. MCI provides 10 weeks of free professional counseling through BetterHelp.
What is BetterHelp?
BetterHelp is the largest online therapy platform worldwide. We change the way people get help with facing life’s challenges by providing convenient, discreet and affordable access to a licensed therapist. BetterHelp makes professional therapy available anytime, anywhere, through a computer, tablet, or smartphone.
Who are the therapists?
Therapists on BetterHelp are licensed, trained, experienced, and accredited psychologists (PhD / PsyD), marriage and family therapists (LMFT), clinical social workers (LCSW / LMSW), or licensed professional counselors (LPC). All of them have a Masters Degree or a Doctorate Degree in their field. They have been qualified and certified by their state’s professional board after successfully completing the necessary education, exams, training and practice. While their experience, expertise and background vary, they all possess at least 3 years and 1,000 hours of hands-on experience.
Will MCI USA know that I am getting therapy?
No. MCI USA will not know who is receiving therapy and will not have any access to your therapy or other personal data. You can also select an anonymous username and use your personal email when you sign up.
