In February of this year, Sales Solutions & Services suffered the loss of one of our veteran colleagues, Bob Rupp. Bob led our Quality Assurance (QA) team for 15 years. He was a caring leader who worked to ensure that everyone could be successful. Bob was dedicated to assuring that the QA team was as close to perfect as possible. He took his role as Quality Assurance Manager seriously, but he always knew how to have fun. See Bob’s Halloween costume photo for proof. Bob loved his annual family trips, nature, and his church.
“Bob Rupp made our company and our team better. He cared greatly about the team he led, the quality of our work, and impact to our customers. Bob led a life of substance, and we were fortunate to have him as a leader,” said Carrie Hartin, President, Sales Solutions & Services.
In the spring, the MCI USA team fundraised to erect a memorial bench in his honor at his favorite park, Oregon Ridge Park in Baltimore County. The bench was placed this fall. It’s in a place that holds special meaning for Bob’s wife, Janice, as they took walks in the park, and this was one of their favorite spots.
Bob leaves behind his wife of many years, Janice, and his beloved son, David. Bob was always 100% about family, and as his extended MCI family, we miss him immensely.
