After several months of board calls and strategy sessions, Association Solutions client The Multiple System Atrophy Coalition has finalized a strategic plan for their organization including tactics that will bring growth to patient and care partner support, research funding, advocacy, and education. As part of this strategic plan, the Coalition aims to make its educational and informational materials more accessible to communities that do not speak English.
In partnership with TransPerfect Translation Services, MSA Coalition staff was able to translate two important brochures that provide an overview of what the MSA Coalition does and what multiple system atrophy is into Spanish and French.
When staff reached out to TransPerfect to begin a translation partnership, the account manager who followed up with the MSA Coalition shared that her uncle had passed away from multiple system atrophy nearly a decade ago. Given the rarity of having the disease, it was a surprise to work with someone who had a personal connection to the disease. When she saw that the Coalition had submitted an inquiry, she jumped on the opportunity to help support the organization in providing translated materials to those impacted by the disease.
The MSA Coalition will continue to create educational resources for patients, care partners, physicians, researchers, corporate partners, and more in multiple languages to increase impact.
