Jennifer Hedrick
Associate Vice President, AM&C, McLean Office
1. Can you tell us about your role here at MCI USA?
I am an associate vice president for the Association Management & Consulting division and serve as executive director of two clients: the National Industrial Transportation League (NITL) and the International Window Cleaning Association (IWCA).
2. When you’re not working, what could we find you doing?
I’ve been doing a lot of daydreaming of warmer weather of late and am looking forward to returning to the local bike trails when spring finally arrives.
3. What keeps you motivated at MCI USA?
I have spent the bulk of my career working for non-profit organizations of various types, and the last ten years or so focused on trade associations. I receive a lot of joy from advocating on behalf of people and their passions—whether personal or professional. That provides strong motivation for the work we do at MCI USA.
4. What is something most talents would be surprised to know about you?
I have the best “small world” story that you will ever hear—I’m sure of it. Track me down and I will tell you about it!
5. You have been lucky enough to be well traveled with all your different client work; if you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
Very lucky indeed. I enjoy travel—be it personal, volunteer, or professional—and have been fortunate to visit locations across the world. I love being away and would be happy in a large city anywhere. I do love DC, though. Four seasons, easy access to beaches and mountains, a short drive or train ride to other metropolitan areas, and for me close proximity to family and friends.
