Michelle VanAlstyne

Account Manager, Association Solutions, Chicago Office

1. Can you tell us about your role at MCI Chicago?

As an Account Manager, I currently work on five accounts and include a wide range of responsibilities with each of them including credentialing, membership, research grants, project management, and more.

2. What is your favorite part about your job?

My favorite part of my job is having so many different responsibilities. This results in each day being a little bit different. I also enjoy the people I work with – whether they are part of staff or the leadership and members from my accounts.

3. What do you like most about living in Chicago?

The best part of living in Chicago is the positive energy you feel when you’re walking around. Whether it is along Lake Michigan, on the Riverwalk, in the city or in one of the many neighborhoods, there is so much to enjoy. Chicago also has so many great food options!

4. What would someone be surprised to learn about you?

People are usually surprised to learn that I am learning how to play the ukulele. I don’t practice enough so I feel like I am still a beginner.

5. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I have been fortunate to travel to many places both in the USA and internationally. Though I have been to over 30 national parks, I have never been to the Grand Canyon. So, if I could travel anywhere, I would like to explore Arizona including the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tucson. Internationally, I would like to go to Vietnam.
