Together we’re better! More than 30 talents from the Baltimore, Dallas, and McLean offices came together in Baltimore to support the more than 1,800 information professionals who attended the SLA 2018 Annual Conference.
This June, months of collaborative efforts of three MCI USA regional offices culminated in an unforgettable annual conference for the Special Libraries Association. More than 30 talents from the Baltimore, Dallas, and McLean offices came together in Baltimore to support the more than 1,800 information professionals who attended the SLA 2018 Annual Conference, which was headlined by U.S. Librarian of Congress Dr. Carla Hayden. To ensure that attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, and vendors alike had positive experiences from start to finish, teamwork was key. From the Dallas team’s brilliance at leading registration efforts, to the Baltimore team’s dynamic exhibit sales and sponsorship team, to the team in McLean’s bold implementation of its association management and meeting planning expertise, SLA 2018 was a win-win-win on all counts!

Baltimore Scores Major Win with Return Client
NYSBA, the New York State Bar Association, returned to our MCI Baltimore office as a client late last year. As of this month, the sales team on this account has already surpassed our projected total 2018 goal revenue number.
- The forecasted 2018 quota for this project was $384,000 for our first year back on the project.
- As for June 7, the sales team reached a total sales number of $386,915
- 10% of the growth came from new products that we helped their team to launch this year
- The total sales number for 2017 was $170,389 – an over 44% increase in sales from 2017 to 2018 – and we are only half way through the year!
Of course, a special shout out is deserved to both Holly Klarman and Jay Blankenship, the account executive and sales manager on this account. They have both put in a lot of time, effort, and strategy into tackling this project and exceeding expectations.

Black Flower Agency Manages Dual Event for Louis Vuitton in Celebration of 2018 World Cup
Louis Vuitton, which has provided the trophy case for the FIFA World Cup since 2010, created an officially licensed collection to celebrate the 2018 tournament. In celebration of the 2018 World FIFA Cup and the accessories capsule collection, Louis Vuitton engaged Black Flower Agency to organize and manage a dual market event in Miami, FL and Beverly Hills, CA.
The larger event, taking place in the Miami Design District, incorporated interactive soccer activities, an oversized soccer ball to engage guests in social media posts, and bleacher seating to watch the games in live simulcast on an exterior oversized screen. The guest experience was launched with a private top client event and then opened to the larger general public to enjoy throughout the duration of the tournament ending on July 15th. Black Flower Agency handled the event fabrication, build, and overall on-site production and management logistics.
BizBash named the Louis Vuitton x FIFA World Cup Pop-Up installation as one of the 10 Best Ideas of the Week!
