Karl Lagerfeld unveiled Chanel’s latest Métiers d’Art show in New York City on December 4, 2018, marking its first show premiere in the Big Apple in over a decade. Much like many of the fashion house’s runway presentations, there was a big theme at play. The show was featured in The Temple of Dendur area of the museum’s Egyptian wing—where its backdrop served as inspiration to all 85 looks.
Continuing its seven-year working relationship with Chanel, Black Flower Agency was enlisted to manage the overall hospitality and entertainment logistics for attending international press, top clients, and celebrities. The agency curated a team of 22 to oversee the various facets of the program, including the ideation and organization of unique VIP access themed experiences and activities, premium dining pursuits, gifting coordination, management of five hotel properties, black car transportation for 750 guests, and white glove dedicated concierge services. The agency team was supported by colleagues stemming from other MCI USA business units and local freelancers, who successfully worked cohesively across the multi-day event.
In addition to the Chanel Métiers d’Art show receiving stellar reviews from fashion critics, Black Flower Agency also received a lot of praise and compliments from its Chanel clients and their attending guests. The overall program was a huge success.
