Black Flower Agency works closely with the American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS), activating events across the country for their top customers. In May, the agency hosted Amex at The Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia, home to one of the world’s greatest collections of impressionist, post-impressionist, and modern European paintings. Card Members enjoyed private, after-hours access to the 12,000 square-foot gallery featuring Dr. Albert C. Barnes’s personal collection, which houses one of the largest holdings of Renoir, Cézanne, Matisse, and Picasso in the world. The Barnes Foundation also opened their doors for an exclusive first look at their Cézanne Conservation Lab Study, allowing Card Members to see up close one of Cézanne’s most famous works, The Large Bathers. The findings of this study will not be released until 2020 and are kept largely behind closed doors, even to the museum docents. It was a truly special evening and kick-off to the 2019 Amex GCS event series.
