Black Flower Agency delivered a By Invitation Only® weekend experience for 40 high value American Express Card Members during the NBA All-Star Weekend on February 14-16 in Chicago.
The weekend was packed with access to the official All-Star Weekend events – Celebrity Game, Rising Stars, All-Star Practice & Media Day, All-Star Saturday Night (which includes the fan favorite, Slam Dunk Contest) and of course, the 69th annual NBA All-Star Game.
Other weekend highlights included a private lunch reception with All-Star Pascal Siakam and an intimate pre-game dinner reception with legend Gary Payton. Card Members also had the unique opportunity to participate in NBA Cares Day of Service alongside players, legends and the NBA family. Card Members had a lot of fun separating produce at the Greater Food Depository of Chicago with legends like Dikembe Mutombo.
The 2020 NBA All-Star Game was certainly an unforgettable one as the NBA community came together to celebrate and honor Kobe Bryant, who was lost just three weeks prior. In addition to numerous tributes, Team Giannis wore #24 in honor of Kobe, and Team Lebron wore #2 in honor of his daughter, Gianna. The format of the game also changed this year; the combination of playing for charities each quarter, the target-score ending, and influence of Kobe’s All-Star legacy led to a more competitive than ever All-Star Game and very memorable All-Star Weekend.
