As a sales account executive at MCI USA, Dominic Kogok brings energy, strategy and a client-first mindset to every interaction. Based in Towson, Maryland, Dominic joined the team in November 2023 and quickly began making an impact through focused outbound sales efforts across booths, events and sponsorships.

With a passion for cultivating relationships and a drive to deliver results, he excels at identifying new business opportunities while nurturing client partnerships for long-term success. Below, Dominic shares more about his role, motivations and how he approaches building connections that matter.

1. What’s the most rewarding part about your role at MCI USA?
The most rewarding part about my role is the ability to see my work come to life. Oftentimes, we are working on events that take nine to 12 months to come together. Being onsite at a conference and seeing all your hard work right in front of you is a tremendous feeling.

2. What is one example of a challenge you faced in your career and how you conquered it?
Making the change from the sports world to the events world. Although there are similarities between the two, there are also some stark differences that I needed to adjust to. So far, I have been supported by a great team that has helped me use previous skills and develop new ones.

3. What are some of the most important lessons you’ve learned throughout your career?
I’ve learned that relationships are everything and they stick with you forever. Anyone you come across, interact with, or share time with will remember you and how you made them feel. You never know when you will need someone to advocate or support you, and you can never have too many people in your corner.

4. What is your favorite MCI USA memory?
It has been participating in our yearly sales training at the Towson office. While we are there to learn about ways to improve our work, our leadership team does a phenomenal job of making it fun and engaging. Learning more about my colleagues, their interests and hobbies makes remote work feel more together.

5. What are you currently watching?
My watching list includes “Lioness,” “The Agency,” and most importantly, my Washington Capitals in the Stanley Cup Playoffs!
