Association Solutions client the Interstitial Cystitis Association visited Capitol Hill earlier this month. Lee Lowery, ICA’s past Chair, Tony Tyler, and his son Nick met with lawmakers to discuss issues faced by people with interstitial cystitis. They advocated for increased FY22 funding for the CDC’s IC Awareness program as well as inclusion of “interstitial cystitis” on the Department of Defense’s list of conditions eligible for study. They met with Senator James Lankford (pictured to Lee’s left) from Oklahoma, as well as a staffer from the office of Representative Tom Cole from Oklahoma.
