Association Solutions client NCSEA was in Charlotte, North Carolina in August for the 2022 Leadership Symposium, their annual conference geared toward leadership development for current leaders, emerging leaders, and those leading in their office with or without the title. NCEA’s mission is to promote and influence child support policies and services and to educate, connect, and inspire those who work in child support.

While the 2022 Leadership Symposium was not NCSEA’s first in-person event post-pandemic, there was an obvious increase in the number of attendees comfortable with face-to-face conferences, as well as a genuine desire to once again connect with long-time colleagues and friends. As a result, more than 600 attendees enjoyed relevant, thought-provoking content, engaging networking opportunities and connecting with sponsors and exhibitors.

NCSEA did not impose health or safety protocols such as vaccination and/or mask requirements, but they continued certain practices adopted last year including extra spacing in session rooms, individually packaged food items, hotel staffed buffets, “comfort level” buttons, as well as messaging supporting and encouraging those who chose to wear masks.

As we move into 2023, NCSEA looks forward to a return to pre-pandemic registration numbers as attendees adjust to a new comfort level of interaction and engagement.
