The New Year brings a couple new processes and reminders to start your year right! Please take a moment to read through for updates on exciting changes and good to know information:

Our PTO policy remains “Use It or Lose It”, but one thing has changed this year your PTO is now front loaded!

  • What does this mean? Your full annual PTO hours are available in Paycom. This will simplify use of PTO and enable you to better track your availability. We encourage all Talents to make full use of the PTO to which you are entitled.
  • Are there any new expectations? Yes, you are now expected to add the reason for time off in the bottom left section of the “Add Time Off Request” section in Paycom to describe the reason for your time off such as: vacation, sick, medical or dental appointment, etc.
  • Can I use PTO in the same manner? Yes, you may still use PTO according to the same guidelines as in the Talent Handbook. If you are “borrowing” PTO or using PTO in advance of when you would have accrued it, you need your manager’s approval.
  • Can we carryover PTO into the next year? This policy has not changed: unused PTO will not be carried over into the next calendar year.
  • How is my PTO balance handled if I leave MCI USA during the year? We will calculate your PTO hours the same as if your balance was accrued from January 1 till your departure date. If you have unused PTO (based on accrued) then you will be paid your balance. If you have used more hours than would have been accrued, the negative balance will be deducted from your final pay. If any amount deducted is insufficient to cover the PTO used, you will repay MCI USA the balance. Talents in Maryland, New York and Illinois have special leave policies which may apply upon departure. More details can be found in the Talent Handbook.
  • Where can I find my balance and time off taken? You will see this (for current and year to date) on the bottom of your pay stub, under Employee Benefits, Allowances and Other. Your 2020 balance is shown on your 1/3/2020 pay stub. You can also find this in Paycom under Time Off Requests > Accruals.

We have changed FSA providers

  • Formerly TASC, we have moved to Flores as our FSA provider for 2020.
  • If you have any claims from 2019 that need to be reimbursed, please submit that claim with TASC. All 2020 claims will be submitted to Flores.
  • If you have not received your PID, please check your Junk Inbox. The email will be from Melvin Gojak.

New required training for all: Our Policy Against Harassment

  • As part of our commitment to a safe and welcoming workplace, we are committed to providing Harassment Training on an on-going basis to all employees. In order to best serve the needs of our supervisors and talents we have partnered with Clear Law Institute, to offer an on-line delivery of this mandatory training.
  • The training typically takes about 45 minutes; however, you don’t have to take the course in one sitting. If you exit the course, when you return you will resume where you left off. 
  • Note that the training can be completed on your cell phone too!
  • Talents are required to complete the training module sent to you by Tuesday, March 31, 2020.
  • Talents who have already been be sent the training will be required to complete the training on a yearly basis, from your completion date. Clear Law will prompt you when you need to retake the training. Thank you for your participation in this very important training!

401K Limits have increased

  • IRS has announced the new 2020 contribution limits
    • New Limit for 2020: $19,500
    • For participants 50 and over new “catch-up” contribution limit is $6,500

W-2’s are now available

  • Year-end tax forms can be downloaded from Paycom
  • Follow pathway Paycom ESS > Payroll > Year-End Tax Forms
