Association Solutions client the National Industrial Transportation League headed to the San Antonio River Walk a few weeks ago for its annual transportation summit. The Summit is the League’s annual in-person gathering of transportation leaders, which provides timely information and education on industrial freight transportation topics and the opportunity for industry, government, the media and other stakeholders to preview the coming year.
The Summit tested two new features this year that by all accounts added value to the Summit – both for attendees and sponsors. The first was a new targeted sponsorship opportunity which gave sponsors dedicated time to meet with the NITL Board. These thirty-minute sessions allowed sponsors to showcase products or concepts with NITL leadership and concluded with a Q&A between sponsors and Board members.
The second was a workshop with acclaimed public speaking coach Ankha Marza. This session gave Summit attendees the chance to hone their public speaking skills while practicing within a small venue of peers. The goal of this session was to add value to the Summit and to the attendee experience, by giving them more than industry knowledge to take back to their offices.
