The American Nurses Associations (ANA) was forced to postpone two of their big 2020 in-person events to 2021 but still wanted to engage their members and fulfill their mission of advancing the nursing profession. So they created a new event: the ANCC Virtual Summit in October 2020. MCI’s SEM&I division provided full event services.

The SS&S division partners with the ANA to deliver sales for their events, and had already sold out exhibits and sponsorships for both 2020 in-person events, but when they postponed and modified their 2020 event calendar to all virtual, the contracts for the live events were null and void – and the sales team had four weeks to sell this first-time online program entirely from scratch.

Using innovative customizable packages that addressed their needs to connect with attendees, MCI exceeded the revenue goal by 20%, maxed out their inventory, and attracted a 50/50 mix of existing vs. new sponsor organizations.
