We are delighted to share our updated Talent Handbook with you! Even though we want to ensure that you are familiar with the entire content of the new Handbook, we would like to highlight some important updates.

What’s new and improved for our Talents in the Handbook?

Lifelong Learning opportunities have improved! At MCI USA we care and want to help our talents develop both personally and professionally.

  • Professional memberships can now be paid at up to $350 per year.
  • Tuition reimbursement has increased from $1,000 at 50% to $1,500 at 100% reimbursement.
  • Training from LinkedIn, Associations and other organizations can now be reimbursed for job related training.
  • Professional certifications can now be reimbursed up to $1,500.
  • Check out Lifelong Learning (Section 3) for more detail and approval requirements.

Paid Family and Medical Leave as announced in March 2022 is fully integrated into the Talent Handbook. MCI USA offers 20 paid days off for family and medical reasons. This is integrated with other programs such as short-term disability and FMLA.

Talent Referral Program as announced in April 2022 increased the referral bonus to a $1,500 bonus (paid in two installments) plus a $100 gift card.

Holidays. We introduced a new Floating Holiday in 2022, plus in the past several years we have added three holidays to affirm our commitment to our diverse talent population: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Juneteenth, and Indigenous People’s Day.

PTO. Although the frontloaded PTO policy was introduced several years ago, talent should review this section to ensure that they fully understand it. (California talents, however, will have a different policy moving forward.)

Bereavement Leave. The definition has been expanded to include miscarriage.

What’s important for all talents to read?

While we want you to read the entire handbook, you should pay special attention to Section 2 on Employment Principles which includes our policies on Equal Employment and Diversity, Our Policy Against Harassment, Our Policy on Reasonable Accommodations, and other important policies.

Be familiar with our other Workplace Policies such as Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace, Weapons Free Workplace, Hybrid Workstyle, and Emails, Social Media, the Internet, Computers and Other Communications Equipment which can be found with other policies in Section 6.

What’s new and important for MCI Group? MCI Group intends to be ISO 27001 (data protection) and 27701 (IT security) certified by November 2022, so we are all required to read Data Privacy and IT Charters (Sections 12 and 13). You will see communications and trainings on these topics provided by MCI Group and recently communicated by Michele Jerome.

Accepting the Talent Handbook. We will be posting the Talent Handbook in Paycom and all talents will be required to acknowledge and accept it in Paycom indicating they have read and understand the material.

Let the Angela or Rebecca of the People & Culture Team know if you have any questions.
