The sparkle of the 55th Annual Matrix Awards didn’t begin on the red carpet; it started months earlier, powered by the creativity, precision and leadership of MCI USA’s own Donna-Jean Plante, CAE, and Hannah Cassidy.
For Donna-Jean, who has led the production of Matrix for several years, this event is deeply personal and mission driven. “It brings together people of all generations to celebrate and empower women,” she shared. From coordinating honorees and emcees to ensuring every journal and award was accounted for, she steered the strategic direction while keeping NYWICI’s mission at the heart of every decision. “It takes a village to get to where you are,” she added. For Matrix, that village starts with the team.
Supporting Donna-Jean onsite was event manager Hannah, who transformed vision into experience. From first impressions to final applause, Hannah oversaw vendor coordination, décor, flow and every operational detail. “I focus on the entire guest experience — from the moment they step out of their car,” she said. This year, she was especially proud of incorporating the NYC skyline into the design, creating a local, immersive feel inside the Ziegfeld Ballroom.
Also lending creative insight were MCI partners Kate Villa and Alexandra Eden of Big Wit Productions, but it was Donna-Jean and Hannah’s coordination that brought every moment together under a unified vision.
Donna-Jean and Hannah exemplified what MCI USA does best: crafting extraordinary, purpose-driven experiences that leave a lasting impact. Their leadership, attention to detail and calm under pressure made this year’s Matrix Awards one to remember — for guests, honorees and the future leaders they inspired.
Congratulations to Donna-Jean and Hannah for another incredible production!
