1. How did you get started in your profession?
I got my start in events working on registration for internal training programs at a civil engineering firm that hosted them all over the United States. I’ve always loved the details and the planning side of things, making sure everything comes together so the event runs smoothly and successfully.
2. What’s a challenge in registration that people don’t realize you handle behind the scenes?
Making sure our technology integrations work seamlessly throughout the entirety of the event, fixing unexpected registration errors in real time on-site and designing registration forms that are user-friendly.
3. What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Never stop learning. Look at every event as a learning opportunity to broaden your skill set, and make it a point to identify and get rid of event struggles and pain points to prepare for a more successful event in the following year.
4. What’s an interest that brings you joy outside of work?
I am an avid foodie, so I love making a point to try new local restaurants every month! Food fuels a portion of my happiness for me!
5. What’s something surprising that not many people know about you?
A lot of people might not know that I am obsessed with Snoopy and Peanuts, and Minions. I’m almost 30, but hey — nothing like some childhood nostalgia!
