The second event in the Defense Financial Management Institute (DFMI) 2026 series, DFMI Orlando brought the defense financial management community together in May at the Marriott World Center Hotel and Conference Center.

Formerly known as the Professional Development Institute (PDI), DFMI marks a new chapter in defense financial excellence — a growing series of high-impact regional events designed to deliver career-long education and expertise for financial managers working to secure our nation’s defense. With registration topping 1,700 attendees and selling out ahead of the event, DFMI Orlando centered on “Mission-Ready FM: Aligning People, Policy, and Technology for Measurable Outcomes.”

The program delivered keynotes, breakout sessions, CPE-eligible professional development, and substantial networking focused on current challenges including accountability, transformation, auditability, and digital and financial transformation. MCI managed the event, ensuring a standout experience marked by the strength of community connection. Attendees gained meaningful opportunities to engage with peers, leaders, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, and Tampa Bay Chapter volunteers who helped bring the event to life.
